Amazon rainforest, 1538. King Carlos V de España y I de Alemania sends a group of Spanish soldiers to the new continent to locate Teziutlan, a legendary city created with gold, to claim it to the Spanish Empire. Alone in the rainforest and without a help, soldiers face not only indigenous tribes but the manifest hate themselves by their respective birth places. 西班牙人当年征服美洲大陆是极其无耻和血腥的，该片也算是一定程度上反映了当年西班牙人的征服历史，但依然有美化的成分，比如印第安人给西班牙人递个水果，印第安女性主动投怀送抱……但这改变不了当年那段可耻的历史！

很喜欢这种不腻不套路的探险片。说结尾粗糙的只能说这不是你想要看的电影好莱坞片吧。

西班牙人的帝国探险队，黄金梦，专制主义，内斗，狂野，凶残，规则，信仰，美女和随队记录者。独特，沉闷，含有一点点反思。
本来队伍人就少，还为了根本看不到的金子在互相杀害，人越走越少，人都是贪婪的，最后一无所获，剧情实在看得想睡觉！
